Grails Diary - Week 24 in 2015

16 June 2015

Still a bit in mental recovery after a hectic GR8conf, it was great to read Iván López take on the conference and Speaking at GR8Conf. As I'm writing this, the oral exams for the Groovy/Grails course I did a short session on at GR8conf is half way done (20 student more to examinate tomorrow), and so far all have passed :)

The first milestone for Spring Boot 1.3.0 was released this week, and available on Gvm (SDKman).

The Gradle Summit was held during this week. A new brand (gradle.com) and logo was revealed: the Gradlefant. I was not there but have stumbled on a few sets of slides from the presentations:

The next version of Gradle: 2.5.0, the Gradle team will add continuous build mode to any build. The next major version of Gradle: 3.0, will include Rule based model configuration, that is being incrementally developed during the Gradle 2.x stream.

"The Groovy bible": Groovy in Action, Second Edition is in print now! 10.000 lines of tested Groovy code included.

Don't forget, you can still secure an early bird ticket for GR8conf US
